Participation Agreement
By taking part in any Activation, breathwork or related session with Endeepenment, you agree to the terms below. A separate registration form is completed before your first session — this page sets out the full agreement those terms refer to.
It does not take away any rights you have by law.
1. Health declaration
Breathwork may not be suitable for everyone. Before each session, please tell us if you have, or have ever had, any of the following.
Cardiovascular & respiratory: heart disease, arrhythmia, history of stroke or TIA, COPD, asthma, high or low blood pressure.
Mental health: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, unmanaged PTSD, or other psychiatric or psychological conditions.
Neurological: epilepsy, recent head trauma, or other neurological conditions.
Other: detached retina, glaucoma, severe osteoporosis, recent surgery or injury, pregnancy, or any acute infectious illness.
Medication: any prescribed medication that may affect your physical, psychological or emotional stability.
If a condition applies, you may still be able to take part with a modified practice at the facilitator's discretion. The facilitator may decline participation on safety grounds.
You confirm that any information given is true and complete, and agree to inform the facilitator of any change to your health before any future session.
2. Medical disclaimer and informed consent
You understand that:
- Breathwork is offered for wellbeing and personal development. It is not medical care, therapy, diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
- You are responsible for deciding whether to take part, and for seeking medical advice first if you have any doubt about your fitness to participate.
- You take part voluntarily, having been given the opportunity to ask questions, and you understand and accept the inherent risks involved.
3. Responsibility and liability
You voluntarily accept the inherent risks of participation and take responsibility for your own physical, emotional and mental wellbeing during and after the session, so far as it is reasonable for you to do so.
Your legal rights are protected. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. In particular, nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any breach of your statutory rights. This agreement is an acknowledgement of risk and informed consent — it is not a waiver of those protected rights.
To the extent the law allows, you accept that the organiser, facilitators and assistants are not responsible for loss or harm that arises because you did not disclose a relevant condition, did not follow reasonable instructions, or that was not reasonably foreseeable.
4. Participation and conduct
- Confidentiality: you will keep confidential anything shared by other participants. No audio, video or photographs may be taken without the prior consent of the facilitator and all participants.
- Touch: you understand that respectful, appropriate physical touch may be offered during a session. You may decline or withdraw consent to any touch or interaction at any time, for any reason.
- Your wellbeing in the moment: if you feel physical or emotional discomfort, or notice a hazard, you will stop and tell the facilitator straight away.
- Discretion: the facilitator may ask you to pause or stop participating if they consider it appropriate for your safety or the safety of others.
5. Online sessions
If you take part online, you confirm that you will:
- be in a quiet, private, safe space, seated or lying down;
- never take part while driving, operating machinery, in or near water, or anywhere a change in your state could cause harm; and
- ideally have a trusted adult contactable nearby.
You understand the facilitator cannot physically assist you during an online session and that you are responsible for your own environment.
6. Ongoing agreement
This agreement applies to this session and to future activation, breathwork or related sessions you attend, unless you are asked to complete a new registration form. You agree to update your health declaration before any future session if anything has changed.
7. Data protection
Health information collected via the registration form is processed as special category data under Article 9(2)(a) of the UK GDPR, on the basis of your explicit consent, and only to keep you safe and suitable for participation. See our Privacy Policy for full detail. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@endeepenment.com — note that withdrawing consent to process health data may mean you are unable to continue taking part.
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales.
